Cinders was just the male we had been looking for the quite a few years, to breed to our Shavano and Rastamon daughters. We purchased this beautiful male from Beth Roy of Suri Peak. Cinders had his first offspring on the ground in the spring of 2012 and his kids showed at the 2013 GWAS in Denver coming out of the ring with blue ribbons and much acclaim. Of the four entered all four won blue ribbons with Mystique going on the win the Reserve Color Championship. With a biopsy density of 67.5 at four years old, this guy has some impressive fiber stats. His first Great Lakes Ranch offspring certainly did not disappoint in 2015 nor in 2016. Cinders is the 2016 AAA Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the Year! Needless to say Cinders is a welcome addition to our herd sire line up. Cinders is closed to outside breedings.
Dam:
GLR Amayah
| 35218777 | Medium Brown |
GLR Amayah is the first offspring we have on the ranch from GLR Picasso. She is notably at the top of the list of our favorites for our 2012 crop and earned a place on our show string. Her mother was a Grey Color Champion at the AAA Futurity and also the mother of GLR Blackout who was a multiple color champion and a judges choice in his first year of showing as a juvenile. Picasso, Amayah's sire, was one of the first Shavano sons we had and was a Champion himself. Picasso's mother, Rockstars Peruvian Paloma , was a mulitple color champion and has been one of our best producers over the years of award winning cria with excellent fiber characteristics. This girl has a beautiful head, full coverage, a full beard and beautiful luster, lock and conformation. She has no MacGyver in her pedigree on either side. She showed at the three biggest shows in the 2013 show season and was second at both the AAA Futurity and the 2013 MAPACA Jubilee, going on to win Reserve Brown Female Color Champion as a juvenile at the 2013 AOBA Nationals. Amayah in 2014 was the AOA Nationals Brown Female Color Champion the AAA Futurity Brown Female Color Champion and was selected as the 2014 AAA Futurity Judges Choice. She was also the 2014 Suri Network Brown Color Champion in Estes Park.Bred to Cinders, her fist cria was a beautiful fawn female GLR Annapurna who was purchased by The Midnight Moon Alpaca Farm at just three months old. She is bred back to Cinders and expecting a summer 2016 cria. CInders is the 2016 Dark Herdsire of the Year and is closed to outside breedings.

Details
GLR Annapurna is an eye catcher. She is a cute as a bug and sweet as can be on top of it all. Her mother, GLR Amayah, a Picasso daughter, swept the three biggest shows in 2014 as the Color Champion of AOA Nationals, MAPACA and the AAA Futurity where she was also awarded Judges Choice, ending her show career as the 2014 Suri Network Fleece Show Brown Color Champion. Annapurna's sire is Cinders whose offspring in the past two years have been making waves in the show ring as well. Annapurna as a baby had those wrinkles we all hope for that usually indicate density and excellent coverage, a beautiful wooly head and luster to boot.
